At Mikas Aromas, fragrance isn’t just a product — it’s an experience. What began in 2009 with perfume oils has blossomed into a full fragrance brand built on passion, creativity, and community. In 2019, we officially became an LLC, continuing our journey to bring high-quality, long-lasting scents to fragrance lovers everywhere.
How It All Started
Back in 2009, I was carrying green Crown Royal bags full of roll-ons to and from work that later upgraded to clear totes once the collection outgrew the bags. I was known for leaving a scent trail down the hallway; coworkers joked they could smell me from the elevator on the first floor before I ever reached my unit at the nursing home.
It was actually one of those coworkers who planted the seed. She turned to me one day and said, “Mika, you should start selling perfume oils.” That comment stuck with me, and it’s really where Mikas Aromas began.
When COVID hit, I decided to turn that passion into a real shop and launched on Etsy. Along the way, life happened — health struggles, relationship changes — and there were moments I wanted to walk away from it completely. But my son, my sister, and my closest friends kept encouraging me to pick it back up, because they knew how much I loved it. So I did.
Fragrance has been part of my story since childhood. I grew up in a house where scent meant something — my father had his cologne collection, my mother had hers, and she made sure my brother, sister, and I always smelled good too. That love for fragrance never left me, and it’s the heart of everything Mikas Aromas creates today.
